I went from a 13.5 second 1/4 mile in HOM to almost a flat 13 second with pump gas and a 12.75 in HOM (on street tires) with a 2.07 60'!!!and that was with me just keeping the petal to the floor... “Before the TCS I was a lonely, pathetic, traction less loser. I used to pull up the line and be so green with envy I wasn't even able to muster enough courage to race. I mean what was the point? All I was able to do was spin my tires like the Tasmanian Devil and get left in the dust of some lesser vehicle. Sure it made me feel "cool" to have all my torque before 3500 RPM, but trying explaining to some chick that the reason you lost the race was because it wasn't "from a roll...." She has no idea what “a roll” means, she just knows I was granny shifting and not double clutching like I should. Needless to say, it leads to many night spent with the JCPenny catalog.

Now my life is different....now my life has purpose. When I pull up to the line now, I can out “rice” almost anyone with my two-step and actually leave the line with confidence. Gone are the days of using the excuse of no traction...welcome are the days of "missed shifts...." and "boost leaks...." I’ll admit I am going to miss telling everyone about that one magical night I chirped 4th (gobble, gobble, gobble…) but I think it will easy to replace with one of my many soon to be fireball stories.

Sure I'm still lonely and pathetic, but now I have traction. And I have learned that when you have traction.....nothing else matters.”
